As Medical Director, I oversee Brooklyn Minds' position as the only site in America offering full, on-model MBT-A outpatient services. We are a full MBT site for adult clinical services.
I'm a graduate of Amherst College and received my MD from The University of Rochester School of Medicine. I have current appointments as an Instructor at NYU School of Medicine, with prior appointment of Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry at Hofstra-Northwell SOM. I oversee our Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation program.
I have Supervisor-Level training in Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), as well as additional training in MBT-Adolescence and MBT-Families, and have lectured nationally.
My specialties include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance disorders and personality disorders. I have broad addiction treatment experience as part of a comprehensive approach to wellness, full buprenorphine waiver and suboxone case management. Additionally, I am a Trainer in Good Psychiatric Management of BPD, I am also trained in and Interpersonal Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT) for bipolar disorder, as well as psychodynamic psychotherapy and CBT for both OCD and PTSD.
